Two years ago today, the lives of many came to an abrupt halt, but not as much as it did for a wife, parents and a brother. Today is the 2nd anniversary of our good friend Stacey’s passing. I’m honoring his memory as I have since his untimely passing and will continue to do so until I’m no longer of this earth.
As I wrote two years ago, Stacey lived his “dash” and lived it like no other. I wish the world was full of people who lived as Stacey did. His laugh was contagious, he was always willing to lend a helping hand, and never missed an opportunity to gather up and cook a mess of food.
Before school started back, I had the opportunity to photograph Ryland, the cutie pie son of Wendi and Stacey, who is growing like a weed! Look how much he’s grown since last year.
During the session, I couldn’t help but giggle. Ryland is full of vim and vigor, and is already making a nice “dash” for himself. I wouldn’t expect anything less.
For me, it’s hard to believe it’s been two years. And while the years will continue to go by, the memories will never fade.
Rest in Peace, our great friend! We miss you dearly!!!
