Last weekend, I spent 3 hours with a beautiful woman. I’m a lover of nature. Inside shots bore me. I’m not sure why that is, but they do. Natural light offers the unexpected, alluring and magic of capturing an image that jumps out at me.
Natural light photography offers us a great many possibilities. I always base my shoots on a location that is comfortable to my client. When people are in their natural environment, they are free to let their personalities shine. Nikki is a country girl and was very receptive to her boudoir session being shot in a pasture and the woods.
In this session, I captured over 500 images. It’s a typical number for me because I’m trigger happy. When a client begins to settle in to their comfort zone and let their personality shine, I don’t want to miss a thing. Most of my favorite shots are the ones when they think I’m not paying attention.
Saturday was St. Patty’s Day and as it turned out, it’s one of Nikki’s favorite times of the year. It’s so very important to learn every aspect of a client you can. My goal is when you look at my photograph’s, I want you to be able to feel the story behind the client. If you don’t happen to know the individual(s) in the picture, do you have a feel of knowing them? That’s what I’m after!
I’m loving the natural boudoir. What are your thoughts? Are you ready to schedule your saucy session?
